CREATING CONNECTION

All living is done in relationship and the way you relate to yourself is the first step in understanding how you relate to everything. I support my clients by teaching how to use the somatic tools and behavioral practices that will continuously build your ability to connect and communicate.

I know how exhausting it can be staying on a never ending search for healing. And while all those experiences can be helpful, we often still find ourselves stuck and unable to create lasting change.

The protective parts that are keeping you stuck don’t speak a cognitive language. That’s why if you’ve ever tried to only “talk” or “think” your way out of an experience, it likely hasn’t worked. The key to feeling good in your body, having healthy relationships, setting boundaries, using your voice, being responsive vs. reactive and embodying your purpose is by showing (not just telling) your many parts that you’re safe to have all of these things. We do this by using somatic tools, subconscious access, behavioral exercises and compassionate inquiry to speak the language of the body and communicate safety to our systems so that we can come closer to regulation, balance and acceptance -allowing us to experience more “good” feelings in our life.

ABOUT LISA .

Lisa Reider is an integrative practitioner and behavioral therapist with over a decade of experience in somatic studies and behavioral science.

“ I work with clients supporting the transitions needed to create deep healing and sustainable growth, by creating a safe space to practice the tools and exercises that allow them to experience the act of creating the best version of themselves.”

Her approach integrates practical psychology with eastern practices, resulting in a unique blend that allows her to simplify complex concepts and makes the necessary changes accessible and sustainable. She believes taking a solutions based approach to each session allows her to help her clients receive immediate relief and begin to build a foundation of clarity, agency and compassion with the tools and exercises used.

Her career began as a behavioral therapist (RBT), working with adults and children struggling with CPTSD/PTSD, CTE, ADHD/ADD, Spectrum/Autism and Advanced Grief. Furthering the support of her clients, she began to integrate her skills as a Kundalini Yoga and Meditation teacher, Breathwork practitioner, Usui Reiki Master, Death Doula and multi-modality healer. She is a trauma-informed practitioner, trained in Crisis Prevention and Intervention for both medical and non-medical settings.

“I just wanted to let you know I spoke with my mom on the phone today, and there was delightfully less resistance. Not only in my tone, but with my feelings and in my heart. I know it’s because of you (and me too :)).Thank you.”
"I have never experienced anything like that. I have been working with a psychologist for the past year with little progress and what Lisa helped me feel and understand in one session was absolutely unbelievable!”
“My first session with Lisa was great! I was able to express my thoughts and emotions, but also received clear guidance and redirection, followed by breath exercises. I remain on track and present with her questions and insights. I leave each session with new positivity that flows with me through the week!”

COMMON QUESTIONS.

  • Integrative Behavioral Coaching is an approach to mental and emotional health that involves selecting techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited to address a clients particular concern. Our approach is problem focused and solution oriented to give fast and effective results. By tailoring the session to the individual, we can produce the most significant and long lasting effects. Unlike some single school approaches, integrative behavioral coaching is not restricted to a particular methodology or school of thought. Instead, coaches draw on different techniques as they are needed to support the preferred behavior such as; CBT, ACT, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork…and many more. The goal of this is to improve the efficacy and efficiency of treatment and adapt it to the specific needs of each individual.

  • TRAUMA INFORMED

Trauma-informed care is an approach that recognizes the impact of trauma on individuals' lives and seeks to create a supportive environment for their healing and well-being.

In the context of a coaching session, being “trauma-informed” means I prioritize:

SAFETY: Psychological, emotional, and physical. Meaning we only move as quickly as your nervous system can adapt. I cannot guarantee you will never be triggered, that’s an impossible promise for anyone to make, but I can guarantee I will never trigger you on purpose.

TRUST & TRANSPARENCY: I am an open book, and am happy to share about what we’re doing in session and why we’re doing it.

PEER SUPPORT: When appropriate, and with your consent, I disclose personal experiences from my own life to empower you to feel less alone.

COLLABORATION: I am your co-creator, not your overlord—your peer, not your guru. I encourage your active participation in shaping the course of our work together.

CHOICE & EMPOWERMENT: I always lead with consent and acknowledge you as the expert on your own experience. Where appropriate, I also empower you with pieces of neuroscience and psycho-education to help you put your experience in context.

CULTURAL, HISTORICAL, & GENDER AWARENESS: I actively and continuously invest in expanding my understanding and competence in working with idiosyncrasies of culture and identity—intentionally seeking out and harmonizing my biases whenever and wherever possible.

  • Unlike doctors, psychologists, and psychiatrists, I do not assess, diagnose, or treat mental health disorders. Many of my clients choose to work with me AND a therapist. With my client’s consent, I often collaborate with their treating clinicians to ensure coordinated care.

Coaching is not psychotherapy—but it often has significant therapeutic outcomes.

A helpful analogy is the difference between personal trainers (strength/optimization) and sports medicine doctors (injury management/stabilization). Both do important work with the same population, but in different contexts and scopes. Similarly, coaches and therapists have distinct roles.

As a coach, I am a personal trainer for your mind-body-spirit development. My focus is on helping clients clarify their vision, set goals, develop actionable plans, and enhance their strengths. My clients are generally emotionally stable and are not (or are no longer) grappling with severe mental health concerns.

  • THE PROCESS

    01 — PREPARATION

If growth is a journey, this phase is your seatbelt. It’s the “have you peed though?”, and “do we have enough snacks?” phase. In other words, it’s where we build a foundation of trust between us, take honest stock of the quality of your support systems, and equip you with the cognitive and somatic tools you need to strengthen those systems. In doing so, you’ll develop both the confidence and skills to navigate the inevitable surprises that make a trip an adventure.

    02 — EXPLORATION

Once a strong foundation has been set, we’ll begin navigating deeper layers of the work. Think of it like the 4 am part of the drive; bottomless Mountain Dew and highway breakdowns followed by deep realizations and even bigger breakthroughs. Here, endowed with understanding, you’ll be empowered to step out of shame, develop deep compassion for the patterns which once helped you survive, and cultivate the confidence to explore new patterns in service of your becoming. Staying supported by weaving in and out of Phase 1, we’ll gently tend to your most raw and vulnerable parts until you feel it’s time for the sun to rise on your newfound sense of self.

    03 — INTEGRATION

This is the drive home. The phase where you take everything you learned on your journey and start dreaming up next steps. Now that you know what you know, what needs to change? Held by the strength of our container and the meaningful coaching relationship we’ve developed, you’ll be supported to answer that question, enabling you to transition effortlessly from our together into the next chapter of your life.

    Death Doula/ Transitional Services

Usui Reiki & Energy Healing

The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy. Reiki is a type of energy healing. According to practitioners, energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or even emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness.Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure. Reiki practitioners believe that improving the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness.

Death Doula & Grief Services

A “death doula” is someone who serves as a navigator, advocate, and experienced professional for the dying and their loved ones. Death Doula services range from pre-planning to education/support throughout the dying process, and after-death rituals and home celebrations.Talking about death is hard. People don’t know what to say, get stuck, and avoid the topic all together. Ironically, this causes a loss of power and access to choice. Every human deserves the right to have their preferences be known and facilitated as they die.

Plant Medicine Consultations

Factors such trauma, loss, discrimination, and other negative life experiences can shape our perception of ourselves and the world, including how we react and respond to life's challenges and our ability to navigate our emotions. These perceptions can become habitual patterns and cycles that contribute to suffering. Individuals who seek plant-assisted support often struggle with life-long or treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. They have tried other forms of therapy and are still in need of relief from their debilitating symptoms. Psilocybin can help clients break out of self-destructive patterns and reconnect with a sense of purpose, passion, and creativity in life. These sessions are consultations guiding clients to safe resources in combination with integrative behavioral coaching . The combination allows you to process and integrate the insights from your plant assisted experience for lasting relief.

NOTE: I do not provide psychedelic medicines.

Soundbath & Tuning Fork Healing

Soundbaths are an invitation into a deeper state of consciousness, an opportunity to unplug from external stimuli and to gain perspective. A Soundbath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body. The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation, and explore a deeper sense of self-inquiry and self-discovery.

GROUP SESSIONS $500 / 10 + $40/pp additional

Breathwork

Breathwork sessions combine the practice of ancient rhythmic breathing, spacial energy work, hypnotherapy and music. Designed for both single and group sessions to give a powerful and transformational experience. The practice balances the brain and nervous system, clears out stuck emotional energy, expands insight/intuition, and begins to reprogram the subconscious messaging of the mind. A very powerful session for those looking to do subconscious and physical healing within the body.

Kundalini Yoga, Breathwork & Meditation

Kundalini Yoga is a powerful combination of yoga, meditation and breath to relax and restore the body’s systems simultaneously, increasing flexibility, energy, and overall strength. This sacred and scientific technology allows one the space to access a deeper level of balance, awareness and resilience while elevating consciousness. Each individual session is tailored to target specialized aspects of growth, healing and transformation..
